Sansad TV not under Speaker’s, BJP’s control: Pralhad Joshi on parts of Rahul Gandhi’s speech “expunged” in Lok Sabha

Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi has stated that neither he nor his party has any control over Sansad TV, therefore he is unaware of why parts of Rahul Gandhi’s speech were “expunged” in Lok Sabha. The Congress leader’s speech had included reference to “Bharat Mata” being killed in Manipur, which some deemed unparliamentary. Rahul Gandhi has asked the Lok Sabha Speaker to examine the matter but has not been accused of using inappropriate language. Joshi stated that if anything unparliamentary is said, it is usual practice to expunge it from the record.
