The Congress Party’s Mallikarjun Kharge has criticised the suspension of his party colleague, Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, from Lok Sabha for using the name “Nirav Modi” with reference to the prime minister, calling it “flimsy”. Chowdhury, leader of Congress in the Lok Sabha, was suspended for allegedly attacking PM Narendra Modi and disrupting proceedings. Kharge said the “nirav” in Nirav Modi meant “silent”.
