A deluge of bills and bile: What Monsoon session of Parliament achieved

Friday marks the end of this year’s Monsoon session of the Parliament which saw many important bills passed and introduced as well as heated political debates full of bile and no-holds-barred attacks. The highlight of the session was the no-confidence motion moved by opposition parties of the INDIA alliance which generated debates between the opposition and treasury benches. Another highlight was the introduction of three new bills to overhaul the criminal justice system.
