EC publishes final delimitation report on Assam, renames one Lok Sabha and 19 assembly seats
The Election Commission of India has finalized the delimitation order for Assembly and Parliamentary constituencies in Assam, with no change in the number of seats, retaining 126 and 14 seats, respectively. After considering over 1,200 representations, the commission revised the names of 19 Assembly constituencies and one Parliamentary seat.
