Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita Bill allows using draconian police powers for political ends: Kapil Sibal
Former Union Law Minister Kapil Sibal under the UPA government claimed that the BJP government’s proposal to replace the colonial-era Indian Penal Code (IPC) with the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita Bill (BNSB) allows the use of “draconian police powers for political ends”. Sibal also claimed that the government’s agenda is to “silence opponents”.
