Modi govt’s ‘corruption’ in infra projects taking nation on ‘highway to hell’, says Kharge

Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge has accused the Modi government of corruption in infrastructure projects, citing a report from the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) of India on the ‘Bharatmala Pariyojana’ highway projects. Kharge said that although the PM is talking about corruption by his opponents, the government has “innumerable deficiencies, non-compliance of outcome parameters, clear violation of tender bidding process and huge funding mismanagement” in the projects.
