Former Odisha Chief Minister Giridhar Gamang and ex-Koraput MP Jayram Pangi are expected to join the Congress ahead of the 2024 general elections, according to Congress MLA Taraprasad Bahinipati. Gamang and his son Sisir have already expressed their desire to join the party, while Pangi, who was elected to the Lok Sabha in 2009 as a BJD candidate and later joined BJP, has also reportedly shown interest. GAMANG has joined K Chandrasekhar Rao-led Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) after resigning from BJP a few months ago.
