Congress releasing Cauvery water to Tamil Nadu for political gains from ally DMK: Kumaraswamy
Former Chief Minister of Karnataka, HD Kumaraswamy, has accused the ruling Congress of trading Cauvery water with Tamil Nadu to strengthen the opposition alliance INDIA ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha polls. The BJP has also criticised the Congress over its stance on Cauvery water release, while the state government maintains that water release is controlled by the Centre.
