Manipur assembly not being convened further evidence of breakdown of constitutional machinery: Congress

The Congress has accused the government of the breakdown of constitutional machinery in Manipur for not convening the Monsoon session of the state’s assembly, despite repeated requests from the government. The state government had asked for a special session to be called on 21 August, but so far, no notification has been issued.
