Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan expressed disappointment over the Karnataka government’s decision to discontinue the National Education Policy 2020, calling it politically motivated. Pradhan stated that the move reflects the anti-reform and anti-Karnataka character of the Congress party. He emphasized that education should be focused on progress and not used as a political tool. Several opposition-ruled states have also indicated their intent to disassociate with the NEP 2020, which replaced the Congress-era education policy.
