Congress Working President and former Tripura minister Billal Mia joins BJP
Mia was miffed for not getting party tickets in the assembly polls in February this year. The party did not field him for the September 5 by-election to the Boxanagar Assembly constituency. The seat was vacant after the death of CPI-M MLA Samsul Haque, who passed away on July 19 after a cardiac attack.
