Congress takes dig at PM’s Rozgar Mela, terms it ‘gimmick’

Congress criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi for holding Rozgar Melas to save his image and address unemployment. Modi distributed over 51,000 appointment letters to the youth, but Congress called it a rhetoric and accused him of failing to fulfill his promise of creating two crore jobs per year. Congress general secretary Jairam Ramesh claimed that the jobs were already sanctioned posts that hadn’t been filled for years and accused Modi of personalizing employment in the government sector.
