Expect more gifts as PM Modi becomes desperate to cling on to his chair: Congress on LPG price cut

The Congress party alleges that the recent reduction in LPG prices by the Indian government is a result of the BJP’s defeat in the Karnataka polls and successful opposition meetings. They claim that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is desperate to hold onto his position and more such “gifts” can be expected. The Congress party has promised cheaper LPG in upcoming state assembly elections. The government aims to counter this promise by reducing the prices by Rs 200 per cylinder.
