No one has right to change country’s name: Sharad Pawar

Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) president Sharad Pawar stated that no one has the authority to change the country’s name, in response to the Congress claiming that a G20 dinner invite refers to the President as “President of Bharat.” Pawar mentioned that this issue will be discussed in a meeting called by Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge with the leaders of the INDIA alliance, an opposition bloc of 28 parties aiming to challenge the BJP-led Centre in next year’s general elections.
