CM Pema Khandu said the Chinese project is a matter of serious concern for India as it would have a cascading effect on India and Bangladesh in future. Tsangpo is known as Siang in Arunachal Pradesh and Brahmaputra in Assam. The main channel of this river is the Jamuna which flows through Bangladesh before joining the Bay of Bengal.
