Former Karnataka chief minister BS Yediyurappa has announced that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will form an alliance with the Janata Dal (Secular) (JDS) for the 2024 Lok Sabha polls. Union Minister Amit Shah has agreed to give four Lok Sabha seats to the JD(S) as part of the understanding. The move aims to strengthen the BJP’s grassroots base in Karnataka.
