Can happen only in countries where there’s no democracy or opposition: P Chidambaram on ‘no G20 dinner invite’ to Kharge

Senior Congress leader P Chidambaram criticized the government for not inviting the Leader of the Opposition in Rajya Sabha, Mallikarjun Kharge, to the G20 gala dinner. Chidambaram stated that this can only happen in countries without democracy or opposition. He expressed his hope that India has not reached a point where democracy and opposition cease to exist. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi also criticized the government, stating that it doesn’t value the leader of a significant portion of India’s population.
