Supreme Court lawyer and activist Prashant Bhushan has accused the Indian government of pushing for the ‘one nation one election’ (ONOE) campaign in order to delay upcoming assembly elections in five states. Bhushan argues that ONOE cannot be implemented in a parliamentary democracy like India, as the government can fall midterm.
