Senior BJP leader Sanjay Jaiswal downplayed the pleasantries exchanged between PM Narendra Modi and Bihar CM Nitish Kumar at the G20 meet, stating that it was just a common courtesy. Jaiswal ruled out a thaw in relations with Kumar’s party, JD(U), and emphasized that the BJP is determined to form a full majority government in Bihar in the 2025 assembly polls. Meanwhile, JD(U) accused the BJP of hindering the Nalanda International University project and criticized the lack of mention of Bihar CM’s recognition as a “climate leader” by the UN.
