Maratha quota activist Manoj Jarange ended his 17-day hunger strike after Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde assured him of providing reservation for the Maratha community. Shinde, along with his ministerial colleagues, visited the protest site and announced the government’s commitment to the cause. Jarange’s fight received immense community support as it was not for personal gain.
