Not interested in delay but won’t hurry either: Maharashtra speaker on disqualification pleas
Maharashtra assembly speaker Rahul Narwekar has stated that he will not delay the decision on the disqualification pleas against Shiv Sena MLAs, but will also not rush the process to avoid a "miscarriage of justice." The Supreme Court has directed Narwekar to provide a timeline for the adjudication of the petitions within a week. Narwekar has assured that a decision will be made at the earliest possible time, while also stating that he is unaware of the court's order and its contents. The pleas were filed by the Uddhav Thackeray faction seeking a time-bound resolution to the disqualification petitions.
