Senior Congress leader Digvijaya Singh has accused the Madhya Pradesh government of diverting public funds for the ruling BJP’s “election agenda” and manipulating figures to damage the state’s weak financial condition. He warned that if the Congress comes to power, action will be taken against the officials involved. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan criticised Singh for his allegations and for “threatening” officials.
