Senior AAP leader Sanjay Singh accused the BJP-led Centre of introducing the women’s reservation bill as an election gimmick and stated that it will not be implemented before 2039 due to the inclusion of riders such as delimitation and population census. While the AAP supports the bill, Singh called it a “jumla” and questioned the government’s intentions.
