The Lok Sabha has passed the women’s reservation bill, which provides for 33% reservation for women in the Lok Sabha and state assemblies. The bill received support from 454 MPs, with only two opposing it. Union Home Minister Amit Shah appealed to MPs to rise above party politics and give women the honor they deserve.
