The BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty opened on a flat note on Wednesday following mixed Asian cues. At 9.33 am, Sensex was up 75.60 points at 27,382.43. Similarly, Nifty was up 19.05 points at 8,280.70 during the same time.

Hero MotoCorp: Country’s largest two-wheeler maker stocks were trading over 2 per cent up after the Hero MotoCorp on Tuesday post market hours reported a 1.1 per cent growth in net profit at Rs 772.06 crore during the July-September quarter.
Bharti Airtel: The shares of the telecom major was trading 2.64 per cent up at 9.37 am after it said on Tuesday that it has completed the sale of about 8,300 mobile towers in Africa for $1.7 billion (about Rs 11,000 crore), which will be used for reducing debt.
Biocon: The biotechnology major reported an over two-fold jump in its consolidated net profit at Rs 306 crore for the second quarter ended September 30, 2015.
Larsen and Toubro: Shares of the construction major were trading 0.28 per cent down after Credit Suisse downgraded it on order inflow worries.
Tata Steel: Tata Steel will cut around 1,200 jobs in Europe, with the UK being the worst hit, under a planned restructuring to deal with “flood of cheap imports” from China and other places.
Vedanta: Standard & Poor’s on Tuesday lowered its foreign currency long-term corporate credit rating on London headquartered Vedanta Resources to ‘B+’ from ‘BB-‘.
Container Corporation of India: The state-run company on Tuesday reported 21.38 per cent jump in its standalone net profit to Rs 232.91 crore for the second quarter ended September 30 on the back of higher income.
Bajaj Finserv: The financial services company on Tuesday reported 40 per cent jump in consolidated net profit at Rs 441 crore on better performance by Bajaj Finance that reported its best quarterly show, and improved business of life insurance arm, during the three months to September.
Maruti Suzuki: Maruti Suzuki’s royalty payments to its Japanese parent Suzuki are “extortive” and the amount paid has increased over six times per car sold over the past 15 years, proxy advisory firm IiAS has said.
Companies such as Cairn India, JSW Steel, Blue Dart, Wipro, NIIT, Noida Toll, Tata Coffee, HDFC Bank may announce their September quarter earnings on Wednesday.
