Union Minister Kiren Rijiju has responded to Rahul Gandhi’s allegations that the Women’s Reservation Bill lacks quota for Other Backward Classes (OBC). Rijiju questioned why the Congress party, which was in power for most of the time between 1992 and now, did not pay attention to OBC representation. He also highlighted that India currently has an OBC Prime Minister with a record-breaking 35% OBC representation among ministers. Rijiju urged the Congress party to reflect on its history and contribution to OBC empowerment.
