Jairam Ramesh, Congress General Secretary, criticized the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for using the delimitation exercise and caste census as excuses to postpone the Women’s Reservation Bill. Ramesh alleged that the BJP called a special session of parliament to create an election issue without actually implementing the bill.
