The Women’s Reservation Bill, which provides 33% reservation for women in Parliament and other law-making bodies, has been passed unanimously in the Rajya Sabha with 214 members voting in support. The bill was also cleared in the Lok Sabha with 454 members voting in favor. Prime Minister Modi urged members to pass the bill unanimously, stating that it would empower women and enhance “Nari Shakti.”
