Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge accused the government of not inviting former president Ram Nath Kovind to the foundation laying of the new Parliament building due to his caste, calling him “untouchable.” Kharge also criticized the government for not inviting President Droupadi Murmu to the inauguration while inviting actors and questioned the BJP’s intention behind the women’s reservation bill. He alleged that the BJP only considered the bill because of the opposition parties forming the INDIA bloc.
