The Congress party has criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the design of the new Parliament building, claiming that it hampers democracy and conversations. Congress general secretary Jairam Ramesh referred to the building as a “Modi Multiplex or Modi Marriot.” BJP president J P Nadda dismissed the criticism as an insult to the aspirations of 140 crore Indians.
