Of course yes, that is true, but I presume the OP has asked the question to attend the AGMs of the likes of the companies you have mentioned.
On a different note, a personal opinion, an investor who invests in companies mentioned by you wouldn’t ask such questions, he must have been in the market for long, could be a HNI, and as such, would answer questions.
I was providing with a thought to think about, a possible option, a choice. A lot of participants open accounts with different brokers for various reasons, so if one really wants to attend an AGM, and company does not respond in time, and if buying 1 share that reaches the demat sooner than an email from the company, which is enough to attend the AGM, then I guess by all means, we can do this, provided if we have sufficient time.
Again, just a thought. I haven’t done it.
