Congress leader Alka Lamba has called for the immediate implementation of the women’s reservation bill, without the condition of waiting for the population census and delimitation of constituencies. Lamba stated that a delegation of women had met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2017 to push for women’s reservation in Parliament and state assemblies, but no progress has been made.
