The release of the BJP’s second list of candidates for the Madhya Pradesh assembly polls has led to the state Congress chief, Kamal Nath, claiming that the ruling party has accepted defeat. Nath called it the BJP’s “last bet of false hope” and stated that the candidates’ list is evidence of the party’s internal defeat. The BJP has so far declared candidates for 78 out of the total 230 seats in MP. The state elections are scheduled to take place at the end of this year.
