BJP leaders hold protest against Karnataka government over Cauvery water release

BJP leaders in Karnataka protested against the state government’s release of Cauvery water to Tamil Nadu. Former CM BS Yediyurappa staged a sit-in against the government, calling the CM and deputy CM agents of Tamil Nadu. BJP MP Tejasvi Surya demanded that Karnataka stop water release to Tamil Nadu. The state home minister said the government would handle the issue, while the CM stated that the state will challenge the order in the Supreme Court. The Cauvery Water Regulation Committee had ordered Karnataka to release 3000 cusecs of water.
