Cauvery: Karnataka to move SC over orders to release 3000 cusecs to TN, says CM as BJP, JDS & farmer outfits intensify protests

The state of Karnataka will appeal to the Supreme Court against the orders of the Cauvery Water Regulation Committee (CWRC) to release 3000 cusecs of water to Tamil Nadu. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah stated that the state does not have any water to release and that the government’s legal team has advised filing an appeal. The Opposition BJP and JDS have also protested against the government’s handling of the Cauvery River waters issue.
