Congress MLA Sukhpal Singh Khaira has been detained by Punjab police in connection with a 2015 drugs-related case. Aam Aadmi Party MP Sushil Gupta alleges that Khaira was involved in the drug business and calls for a proper investigation. The arrest is expected to strain the relationship between AAP and Congress, who have formed an alliance. The state unit of Congress in Punjab opposes any tie-up with AAP.
