Karnataka government “very casual in its approach”: BJP’s Tejasvi Surya on Cauvery water dispute

BJP MP Tejasvi Surya criticized the Congress government in Karnataka for its approach to releasing Cauvery water for Tamil Nadu. Surya accused the government of being casual and acting in a duplicitous manner to support its alliance partner, the DMK in Tamil Nadu. He argued that releasing additional water to Tamil Nadu would compromise Karnataka’s drinking water needs, especially considering the state’s severe rainfall deficit and drought conditions.
