Ajit Pawar replaces BJP’s Chandrakant Patil as Pune guardian minister
Ajit Pawar, the Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra, has been appointed as the guardian minister of Pune district, replacing Chandrakant Patil. This change comes as part of a revised list of guardian ministers for 12 districts in the state. The NCP faction has entrusted seven of its nine ministers with the responsibility of various districts. The appointment of guardian ministers was delayed due to political equations shifting after Ajit Pawar and eight MLAs joined the Shiv Sena-BJP government.
