The Union Rural Development Ministry stated that there is no lack of funds for the rural job scheme MGNREGA, and the funds for West Bengal were withheld due to non-compliance with central directives. The ministry emphasized that funds have been released for the scheme, with Rs 56,105.69 crore out of the Rs 60,000 crore budget already disbursed.
