Trinamool Congress workers, led by party leader Abhishek Banerjee, are continuing their sit-in outside the Raj Bhavan to protest against the alleged withholding of West Bengal’s MGNREGA dues by the Centre. Banerjee has vowed to stay at the site until the Governor meets their delegation. The protest follows the party’s two-day demonstration in Delhi regarding delayed payment of MGNREGA dues and housing schemes for impoverished families.
