The Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) OBC wing in Uttar Pradesh (UP) is preparing its members to promote the party’s work for the welfare of the backward classes. This comes as the opposition parties are focusing on social justice for backward communities in the lead-up to the 2024 general election. The BJP’s OBC front in UP is holding workshops and adding 500 new OBC members in each assembly constituency to strengthen its image as a party committed to the cause of the marginalized. The party has previously demonstrated its support among OBC voters in the state.
