ED summons: Jharkhand HC asks CM to rectify errors in plea; next hearing on Oct 11
The Jharkhand High Court has asked Chief Minister Hemant Soren to rectify the errors in his petition challenging the summons issued to him by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in a money laundering case. The court listed the next hearing on October 11 and urged Soren's counsel to correct the petition filed on September 23. Soren had approached the Supreme Court earlier, but it refused to entertain his plea. Soren alleges political vendetta and questions the jurisdiction of the investigating agency. The ED has summoned Soren multiple times in connection with land scams and illegal mining cases.
