Union Home Minister Amit Shah will chair a review meeting of the Vishwakarma scheme, aimed at benefiting traditional artisans and craftspeople, in New Delhi. The scheme, launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, will provide recognition, skill upgrading, financial support, and marketing assistance to artisans and craftspeople. The scheme covers 18 traditional crafts and aims to register 30 lakh people within five years. The meeting will focus on registration, training, and implementation of the scheme. The total outlay for the scheme is Rs 13,000 crore.
