Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin will request the Centre to direct the Karnataka Government to release Cauvery water. The Karnataka government had cited a severe drought to refuse the supply of water to Tamil Nadu. Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar stated that water inflows into the reservoirs are decreasing, and there is a shortage of water for crops.
