Tamil Nadu CM Stalin to move resolution in Assembly asking Centre to direct Karnataka to release Cauvery water
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin will request the Centre to direct the Karnataka Government to release Cauvery water. The Karnataka government had cited a severe drought to refuse the supply of water to Tamil Nadu. Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar stated that water inflows into the reservoirs are decreasing, and there is a shortage of water for crops.
