The National Conference (NC) and Congress celebrated their alliance’s victory in the Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC)-Kargil elections. The NC-Congress alliance won 22 out of 26 seats, while the BJP and independents won two seats each. The alliance sees the results as a referendum against the abrogation of Article 370 and bifurcation of Jammu and Kashmir.
