BSP to go solo, aims to play kingmaker in Rajasthan
The Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) is aiming to become a "kingmaker" in the upcoming Rajasthan assembly polls. The party, which won six seats in the 2018 assembly polls, has identified around 60 seats to focus on in order to improve its performance. The BSP is prioritizing loyalty in candidate selection and aims to become the balance of power after the election results. The party has also changed its stance on supporting a government from outside and is open to becoming partners in the government if needed. In Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, the BSP has formed an electoral alliance with the Gondwana Gantantra Party.
