The AAP government in Delhi has blamed the delay in payment of salaries to bus marshals and civic volunteers on the GNCTD (Amendment) Act, 2023. The government claims that officials have refused to comply with orders to disburse the salaries, citing the new legislation which grants control of services to the Lieutenant Governor rather than the Delhi Government.
