ED summons unwarranted: Hemant Soren tells Jharkhand HC
Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren has told the Jharkhand High Court that the summons issued to him by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in a money laundering case are unjustified. Soren's advocate argued that it is unclear whether he has been called as a witness or accused. The ED had sent summons to Soren to appear at their office in Ranchi on August 14. Soren moved the High Court after the Supreme Court refused to entertain his plea against the summons. The case will be heard again on October 13.
