Madhya Pradesh higher education minister Dr Mohan Yadav has dismissed allegations of irregularities in the construction of ‘Mahakal Lok’, a corridor near the Lord Mahakaleshwar temple in Ujjain. The corridor was damaged in a storm earlier this year, leading to the Congress party accusing the ruling BJP of corruption. Yadav said that the damage was caused by a powerful windstorm and that the idols were replaced by the contractor at no extra cost. He also claimed that the Congress is raising the issue for political gain and that it will prove counterproductive.
