Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) president Sharad Pawar stated that his nephew, Ajit Pawar, will never become the chief minister of Maharashtra. He also expressed confidence that the BJP would lose power in Maharashtra, just as it does not rule in 70% of states in the country. Pawar believes that the Maha Vikas Aghadi, consisting of the Shiv Sena, NCP, and Congress, will come to power in Maharashtra after the 2024 elections.
